Lord Do not Slow Me Down is a song by the English band Oasis published October 21, 2007 in the format for digital download, to anticipate the launch of the homonymous DVD. [1] [2] On October 29th the single debuted at number ten position of the Official Singles Chart, becoming the 21st single of Oasis in the top 10 of the United Kingdom. [3]
In October 2006 the first part of the song was used in a preview of the band's video. Written and sung by Noel Gallagher and recorded during the sessions of the Do not Believe the Truth album, it has been described [4] by Gallagher as
"One of the best things, like a combination of Who, Yardbirds and Jeff Beck Group, and has two drum solos!"
The whole song leaked on the Internet a few days before the video was uploaded to YouTube and the song was aired on the radio on October 1st. It seemed to be part of the 2005 Do not Believe the Truth album, but was later removed from the final list of tracks by Noel Gallagher. Instead, appears on the cd bonus of Dig Out Your Soul, in 2008, and in the collection Time Flies ... 1994-2009 of 2010. In May 2008 on the Internet began to circulate a version of the song in which Liam is singing.
