Deutsche Grammophon Daniil Trifonov plays Franz Liszt 2 CD Digipack
Transcendental is the new CD by Daniil Trifonov, the phenomenal Russian pianist who, due to his extraordinary skills, has already been indicated by world critics as the heir to the great Russian interpretative tradition, combining him with names such as Horowitz, Richter and Kissin.
The album includes the complete Concert Studies by Franz Liszt which represent one of the most demanding challenges for every pianist, an integral that Deutsche Grammophon tackles for the first time in a single recording session concluded by Trifonov in just five days.
Trifonov has to his credit the 1st Prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition (2011), the 1st Prize at the Rubinstein Competition (2011), the 3rd Prize at the International Chopin Competition (2010) and the Special Prize for the best performance of the Mazurkas .
The first ever recording of all Franz Liszt etudes in the history of the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon label is placed in the hands of one of the best pianists in the world. Trifonov's visionary interpretation shows the true heart of the studies, transforming virtuosity into emotion with an elevation that transcends Liszt's technical and structural innovations and captures their pure spirit.
