Elvis Costello & The Imposters - The Boy Named If - Digipack CD
After releasing "Spanish Model", the surprising Spanish-language reinterpretation of the album "This Year's Model" (1978), Elvis Costello is back with and here is The Boy Named if, the new album of rock'nroll songs characterized by intense melodies, solos of guitar and pressing rhythm.
The Boy Named if - produced by Sebastian Krys & Elvis Costello - is a collection of thirteen snapshots, "…that – declared Costello - I started working only with an electric guitar, a few chords… I started with five songs and continuing to write a whole new record was born to play with the Imposters."
During the first recordings the rhythm section consisted solely of Costello's guitar and Pete Thomas' Gretsch drums. Then Imposter Davey Faragher was added with his Fender bass and in the end, even though the album already sounded good as a trio, Steve Nieve's organ was the classic icing on the cake.
