Kurt Vile - Watch My Moves Double Vinyl
(watch my moves) is the new album by American singer-songwriter, musician and producer Kurt Vile recorded primarily at OKV Central, his new home studio in Mount Airy, a suburb of Philadelphia.
His ninth studio album was produced by Vile himself joined by longtime collaborator Rob Schnapf (Richard Thompson, Elliott Smith…). In addition to Schnapf, James Stewart and all-time band The Violators, the album features guest appearances such as Chastity Belt, Cate Le Bon, percussionist Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint, Courtney Barnett) and Sarah Jones (Hot Chip, Harry Styles ).
Across the album's 15 tracks, 14 originals plus a version of Bruce Springsteen's "Wages of Sin," Vile takes his talents in unexpected directions. The result is a lively but meditative album, animated by his curious soul and his proverbial phlegm.
