ORIGINAL ARTWORK WITH CUSTOM STRIP OBJECTIVES.
THE ALTERNATIVE GROUP was born in Milan in the early 1970s. It is composed of Tino Guasconi (vocals), Gianfranco Fumagalli (flute), Leonardo Dosso (bassoon and acoustic guitar), Rodolfo Pace (guitar), Roberto Romano (keyboards), Paolo Rizzi (bass) and Nino Flenda (drums and percussion).
Before the release of their debut album, the band staged the pop opera "Uomo" at the Teatro Uomo in Milan. This is inspired by the death of a friend of the singer Tino Guasconi. Subsequently, Gruppo D’Alternativa is immediately noticed. He was then hired by the prestigious Emi label. Harvest which released the debut album "Ipotesi" in 1972. Nine songs joined together to form two long suites.
The album contains only a small part of the music presented in the original play. Adds extensive references to Jazz and Progressive Rock. Alongside the soft influences of Canterbury Sound, improvisations and aggressive and free atmospheres make their way. These underline the most dramatic parts of the disc.
