Paul McCartney & Wings Wings Over America Vinyl
"Wings Over America" was released as a triple album in 1977, and faithfully documents Sir McCartney's show throughout its lineup.
The beginning is entrusted to the triptych "Venus And Mars - RockShow - Jet", which involves the live spectator with laser games (Paul was the first to use them) and exalts the listener with the growing sound, which passes from acoustic "Venus And Mars" to the rock of "Jet". The songs are extracted almost all from the last works of the group, "Venus And Mars" above all, from which Paul performs the beautiful "Medicine Jar" by McCulloch. For the first time he returns to perform Beatles songs, "Lady Madonna", "The Long And Winding Road", "Yesterday" and "Blackbird" in versions very similar to the originals.
Paul rehearses in general the stratospheric effect that songs such as "Live And Let Die" and "Band On The Run" have on the public, so much so that the formula, Beatles + Macca solo, will be repeated, and perhaps abused, in all his subsequent tours.
