Creedence Clearwater Revival Mardi Gras CD
Mardi Gras is the seventh and final studio album by Creedence Clearwater Revival, released on April 11, 1972 by Fantasy Records. The band disbanded following the release of the album, which also saw Stu Cook and Doug Clifford writing, composing and producing for the first time with frontman John Fogerty.
Compared to previous records, Fogerty was joined by Clifford and Cook in writing the songs. However, the duo did not make hit songs, especially since in the main collections Chronicle, Vol. 1 and Chronicle, Vol. 2 only the songs written by Fogerty were included.
The album was not very successful, although the singles "Sweet Hitch-Hiker" and "Someday Never Comes" did well in the charts.
Shortly thereafter, Creedence Clearwater Revival disbanded.
