Double vinyl edition
Three years after the release of Poison The Parish, SEETHER is back with the long-awaited new album Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum to be released on August 28 by Fantasy Records / Spinefarm.
Translated "If you want peace, prepare for war," the album contains 13 songs, a mix of euphoria and torment, undoubtedly the most granite material of SEETHER's career.
It's their eighth studio album, Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum was produced by leader Shaun Morgan and mixed by Matt Hyde (Deftones, AFI) in Nashville last winter.
The album features the new member Corey Lowery (former guitarist and singer of Saint Asonia and Stuck Mojo), a friend of Morgan for 16 years, as well as assistant in the production of the album:
“Corey has a lot of experience and is also a great guitarist; he's the biggest brother I've ever had, ”Morgan said. The rhythm section of SEETHER completes the band and is formed by founding member and bassist Dale Stewart and drummer John Humphrey (who joined the band in 2003).
In Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum heavy rock groove, raw grunge, underground punk and metal coexist, the typical South African metal with which Morgan and Stewart grew up: the sound mix that distinguishes SEETHER, unmistakable and timeless.
