Rush Beyond The Lighted Stage
Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage is a 2010 documentary film directed by Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen. The film traces the history of the Canadian rock group Rush, from the beginning until 2008.
The film makes its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival, where it won the "Audience Award" of 2010 [1]. The film is nominated as the "best feature film" at the 53rd Grammy Awards. He also won a Juno Awards in the category "best music DVD of the year" in the 2011 edition [3]. The documentary was distributed in over 140 cinemas in North America in June 2010 and broadcast by the VH1 satellite channel on 26 June 2010. The publication on DVD and Blu-ray dates back to 29 June 2010, certified by the RIAA with double platinum 1 September 2010.
Through interviews, repertoire images, historical audio and video documents, the artistic and human history of the Rush music group is reconstructed, starting from the childhood of its three members Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart, until the beginning in the entertainment world - with the drummer John Rutsey still present in the training - and describing in particular the main stages of the band's history and musical evolution, from the early seventies to 2008.
