Volevo stare Dentro I Fili di Una Radio Renzo Caresa
- Plot Volevo stare Dentro I Fili di Una Radio Renzo Caresa
As a child he wanted to become a butcher.
Or the President of the Republic.
Instead, in 1977 he was hired by Rai and remained there. For forty-one years.
Was it his fate? Perhaps, because his father was a radio production technician and he was born in a condominium where only Rai employees lived. He spent a whole life working on the radio, in the Corso Sempione office. He started as a sound producer in prose productions and ended up as curator of the Radio2 programs that were broadcast from Milan. From Gino Bramieri on he has known many artists, many authors, many conductors and many scoundrels. Thanks to "Caterpillar" he understood that the radio is not just a means of communication but can become a place in which people recognize each other.
"I wanted to stay inside the wires of a radio" is "a navigation without a map and without a destination" in which the author has freely allowed scraps of memory, often unexpected, to emerge. The ladder he had prepared quickly dissolved, the notes abandoned. But the words were there and they called other words, it was enough to listen to them and put them in a row, as he had done for so many years, for work. "We are the script of ourselves and to get to the bottom we have to turn every page and if possible, re-read ourselves, with the lightness of the radio."
