Sindrome da Panico nella Città dei Lumi Matei Visniec
"Books agonize, like living beings on bookshelves, waiting and waiting, and then they begin to wither, weaken, get sick from waiting, suffocate, they feel that no one will take them, that no one will buy them anymore ..."
Plot: Sindrome da Panico nella Città dei Lumi Matei Visniec
A mysterious Parisian publisher without a publishing house, Mr. Cambreleng, tries to educate a handful of novelists and characters: Jaroslava, a Czech exile; Pantelis Vassilikioti, a failed writer of multiple origins; Hung Fao, the Chinese Sol? Enicyn; the bookseller Faviola, sensitive to the cries of dying works; François, kicked out of the house by his cat; Georges and his dog Madox, with a severe addiction to the news; Matei, Romanian refugee, author of a poem capable of subverting the communist order. When one day Jaroslava shows his mentor a dozen notebooks full of words collected in the most diverse places, from advertising billboards to road signs, from clothing labels to cigarette packets, the publisher shouts at the masterpiece: the book that contains Paris, a set of living words capable of saving literature ... A dazzling reflection on writing, a space of freedom that must always be conquered.
