Paolo Borgognone Io, Elvis La Parabola Immortale di " The King"
The tremendous poverty of his birth, the death of his twin during childbirth, the bullying he suffered at school in childhood, the beginnings of his career when he was compared (and discriminated against) to a black person, his extravagance during his first major success and the call to arms. Bullying and prejudices to which he has always responded with his disarming simplicity seasoned with a smile that many have tried to imitate, without ever fully succeeding. The dichotomy between the artist on stage and the boy, the eternal simple American boy of everyday life. Who gets accepted by doing what everyone does during his military service despite the already high-sounding name: cleaning the latrines or doing everyday services, even if at every movement hundreds of girls follow him screaming.
Destiny marked by excesses, alcohol, drugs and pills after pills. Drugs needed to withstand the pressure of a world that wanted its Elvis, without leaving the Elvis man the choice of how to live. The book tells of his ascent to the pinnacle of fame which, analyzed in an alternative perspective, also represents a path in reverse: a descent between the torments and the fear of a simple man: Elvis, the greatest. The human story on this earth, perhaps (and we emphasize "perhaps"), ends tragically on August 16, 1977 ... but the myth still surrounds us and inspires generations to repeat. The book contains charts and collections of rare and unobtainable records, lists of songs described through anecdotes and curiosities.
"The life of the King of rock music of all times".
